“I would not recommend this method of weight loss to anyone else. There are other healthier ways of getting in shape,” said Del Hall.
When you hear about somebody losing weight, you think it is probably one of those typical diet stories, where people either fast or eat a different kind of food to get in shape. Well, this is certainly not the story of Del Hall, the American who survived for 46 days, only by drinking beer, having nothing else to do with food or any other type of drink.
This man got inspired by the 18th-century German monk’s tradition and started his diet from the 6th of March, and continued it even after the Easter. The only thing that Del lived with during this time, is beer. Pretty odd if you ask me. I mean, after all, I hope his liver is still up to the work capacity, considering that the only thing it had to live on and turn to energy, was malt. Del Hall did not cheat his diet not even one time, enjoying only beer and staying away from food.
When asked he said he feels great and that he manages to lose more than 40lbs, going from 292.5 to 248.5. “I plan to continue to lose weight through a protocol of intermittent fasting and portion control,” said Del. He is a worker on a brewing company called Fifty West located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Even after spending more than a month, by drinking nothing but beer, he is still in love with this drink and says he will never give up on it. During his diet, he drank nearly two to five beers per day. “I would not recommend this method of weight loss to anyone else. There are other healthier ways of getting in shape,” said Del Hall. After all, not everyone is a beer enthusiast as much as Del.
