In the beautiful city of Batumi, Georgia there are these steel sculptures that are 8m long. It was designed by a renowned Georgian sculpture named Tamara Kvesitadze and is made of steel. It showcases love of this couple named Ali and Nino whose love was affected by the invasion of Russia. The sculpture is inspired by a novel by written by Kurban Said.
The movement of these steel sculptures begins at 7PM that is followed by a short embrace before moving apart.
Ali was a Muslim boy who was in love with Nino who was a Georgian princess.
The novel was published in the year 1937.
This tragic novel is translated in many languages.
Even though they were completed in 2007, it was until 2010 that it was installed for the public display.
