But no matter what the law and order might be, a penguin named Dindim pays an annual visit to his best friend and rescuer whom he met on the Brazil beaches back in the year 2011. The 71 year old part time fisherman and retired bricklayer, Joao Pereira de Souza found the South American Magellanic penguin, Dindim covered in oil and in almost dying condition. People said Dindim won’t return but he has been visiting annually since the last four years, says Joao.
When Joao found Dindim in 2011, he was covered in oil and was close to death.
After leaving with Joao for 11 months, Dindim disappeared.
Surprising Dindim keeps visiting annually by swimming all the way to 8,000 km.
Joao loves Dindim like its own kid and the penguin loves him back, he believes. When Dindim sees Joao he wags his tail and honks excitedly.
Dindim pecks everyone apart from Joao who touches him.
Professor Krajewski, the biologist has never seen something like this ever and believes that Dindim thinks Joao is his family and a penguin for that matter.
